About

History

Originally, put in place by and for Funcom employees as a diversion, the Team Funcom site quickly gained popularity among skilled players in North America. These players eventually formed the first stable community of gamers for the Team Funcom site and servers.

As with any company, employees come and go. The original employees who founded the Team Funcom site and server handed over the reins to newer employees who eventually passed on custodianship to the community itself.

Currently, any website or game server related to the Team Funcom name is lovingly sponsored by that original community of skilled players. Ex and current Funcom employees drop in from time to time to appreciate the gesture and get owned.

Today

As previously mentioned, everything here is community sponsored. Regular donations by our community keep the wheels turning. Please feel free to contribute if you enjoy your time here. First, spend some time with us.

The crowd of regulars has diversified recently and consists of good people from all over the world. Players of all ranks of skill are welcomed, and if you're new to the game (or maybe even a veteran), there is much we can teach you.

Team play on vanilla servers is the general rule. Cheaters, Exploiters, hackers and griefers will be warned, kicked and banned in that order.

Tomorrow

What do we have planned for the future? We're just planning to be here for as long as the games are good and people show interest. We hope to continue to grow our community, and welcome those from all walks of life.

Challenge Us

If your community would like to challenge us to a friendly community vs. community type match, just send us an email using the form on the right, or make a post on the forums. Someone will contact you to set up a date and time, decide on rules, etc.

What is a "Regular"?
  • A Regular is someone who plays on our server often, makes posts on our forums from time to time, and is generally active in the community in some way. Regular status is achieved by spending a decent amount of time on our server, and making at least a few posts on the forums. The Board ultimately decides when a player receives Regular status. Second, Regulars get access to their own private forum, closed from public view.
  • To become a Regular, just start playing on our server and/or make an introductory post on our forums in the Introduce Yourself forum. As you spend more time on the server, we'll get to know you and you us. After a while, The Board will give you your new privileges.

How do I get prizes?
  • Prizes are awarded to individuals that show exemplary performance or substantial improvement over the course of a season on our server. At the end of each season (every three months starting January 1st), The Board chooses 4-6 players they felt showed the best effort, performance, communication, drive, and teamwork during the Season. These players are then awarded a Steam game under $15 or so of their choice. The player's name is then shown on our front page for the duration of the next season. Players cannot win awards more than once. Along with the award winners, the top five point scorers of the season are displayed on the front page.

Who are the winners on the front page?
